Same personalisation on Both cover and Spine explanation and examples
Explanation:
- We use the same metal embossing plate (die) for the cover and the spine. It is slightly cheaper than having different size artwork and dies for the cover and the spine because the art-working cost, die cost (one less) and set-up time is reduced.
- For the artwork, you can have up to 3 lines of text set by us in a choice of 23 different fonts. There is a limit to the overall length of this which is a little under 200mm (8 inches
- Alternatively, you could have a single logo (make sure it follows our guidelines).
- You could supply your own artwork or text.
- It could be blind (no colour) embossed or it could be foiled (extra charge).
- It can be placed anywhere on the cover or the spine that you like.
Once you place your order, you will receive a Proof from us which you can ask us to amend up to 3 times free of charge (further amendments are possible but there will be a charge).
Caveats:
Because we are using the same plate for both the cover and spine, the size of your wording or logo is normally determined by the size of your spine.
If a logo contains text and it is to be foiled, we sometimes have to assess whether this can effectively be done in a single (stamping) process albeit twice. In order to get effective coverage of both (logo and text) this might have to be done in 2 process's for each thereby making this option more expensive.
