Our specialty is making high quality one-off, hand crafted, presentation binders and presentation boxes.

Hartnack and Company are small artisan bindery located within rolling hills of Devon. We do not have rows of high tech, case making machinery, (if you are looking for a company to make hundreds or thousands of something, we are probably not the bindery for you). If though, you are looking for a small number of luxury, professional looking presentation boxes or presentation binders of the highest quality, that will reflect your own very high standards. Then look no further.

Covered in your choice material and then embossed or printed to your specification. It's completely custom made and bespoke to you.

Choose from a wide range of different materials and fabrics.

You are not restricted to just one colour or fabric. 

If there is a particular colour scheme then let us know and we can make suggestions of colours and fabrics to match.

We are always happy to send out samples of fabrics so that you can match them more accurately. The materials we use are archive safe, acid free book cloth.


We would always recommend a buckram outer cover as this is water resistant and hard wearing, can be easily cleaned ensuring it stays pristine.

Personalise your presentation box or binder with a range of different options

What's a bespoke product if it is not personalised?

You have a number of possibilities when it comes to  personalising your presentation binder or box.

Your logo can either be blind embossed on the cover or foil stamped. For full cover logos can be digitally printed as you would have seen in galleries above.

If you don't see your corporate font in our 'house fonts' we can use any adobe font as well..

The Stepped Joint - Why we use it in making our boxes.

We often refer to "stepped joints". Why do we use it? Well according to the Library of Congress "The step joint is used for constructing corners of the majority of boxes because it is more rigid than a simple butt joint This stepped joint is also used to join the base to the wall (of the boxes) board. A further reference to the step jointed corner maybe found in Fragments of Bookbinding Technique by T. Harrison (1876 - 1955)"
