With a commission like this, particularly for a car, we want to get as much information as possible. We managed to get from the owner images, but also having the chassis number of the car we were able to source some further information. Our brief was quite simple, which was the owner wanted something that was bespoke and unique to the vehicle and that stood out. It was while going through the images that we caught sight of the owners manual and the graduated horizontal red strips on the book, and decided to emulate what was on those, onto his binders. It was very classic Ferrari 365.
While the strips were part of the inspiration we had to make it bespoke to this particular car and so choose one of the deepest blue buckram fabrics we had which was Navy Blue. We went for a very bright red on the inner cover, which we matched the horizontal strips to, which came as close as we could to the bright red interior of the car. There was a few hours of design work on our side (which is something that we offer here) but it was a joy to do. With the chassis number printed on the side of ring binder covers along with the relevant badge artwork, this ring binder and slipcase box set is not only stunning, it is 100% unique to this car and useless to any other. The full colour printing was done by using a digital colour UV cured printer
This car gets regularly shown at Concourse's and classic Ferrari car events and these history files will undoubtedly stand out. They are however beautiful to have on a book case as something that matches the car and one day when this car is sold will stand out as something desirable to have with this car.
