How to Choose the Perfect Menu Folder

Selecting the ideal menu holder to display your restaurant menus can be overwhelming, as there are many choices out there. We have many years of expertise being the supplier of choice for luxury, high end restaurants, hotels and super yachts across the globe, so here are a few things to consider when selecting the perfect menu folder or board that will be the perfect complement to your establishment.

Define the Size and Number of Pages

The first thing to choose is the right folder size for your menu. The most popular menu cover sizes usually are A4 ( 297mm x 210 mm) and A5 (210 mm x 148 mm). We also do U.S. 8.5" x 11" Letter, Executive or Junior Legal. If however, you are thinking of a bespoke size or something outside the box, we can help you make your idea a reality.
Once you have selected a size, the next thing to think about is the number of pages your menu holder will need to show. If your menu is displayed all on one page, a personalised menu board might be the best choice, as they will show the one side page on one face, and the personalisation on the other. If your menu runs across 2 pages, a fixed insert folder might be the ideal solution. If there are more than a few pages involved, our post fix menus would be the most suitable option, as the screws will make sure the pages stay in place while looking elegant.

    The Materials

When it comes to product durability and style, the choice of fabric for your menu is one of the most important decisions! For example, a buckram menu is wipeable, easy to clean and will always be stylish and offer a wider range of colour choices and might adapt easier to contemporary establishments, while a real leather menu might work better at a more classic restaurant. But there's one more important factor that might change everything.

    The Personalisation

The most important step is personalising your menu folders with your logo or text, so they will be a true reflection of your brand.
For this step, we would need the best quality version of your logo, or your font of choice so we can then create a metal recess to blind deboss  (a clear stamping of your preferred artwork) or colour foil stamp ( A colour stamp of your artwork) your chosen menu cover.
We understand every hospitality folder is unique, so if you are still not sure what is the right size, fabric or personalisation for your menu cover, why not get in touch with us? We are always happy to help you bring that bespoke project to life!
