We were approached by a car storage and display facility in Petersfield. Two of the cars they display were McLaren Formula One cars, an MP4/4 and an MP4/6, both of which were driven by the late racing legend Ayrton Senna. It’s in these cars that Senna won the World Championship, and McLaren the Constructors’ Championship, in 1988 and 1991.
They wanted two documentation boxes with the technical specifications of each car.
We created the boxes to look like old Marlboro cigarette packets, as the cars were also designed with their main sponser's colouring, using white buckram and red book cloth.
