A really eye catching A4 sized portrait portfolio, with we think was for a university fashion & textile student.

This was an A4 portrait hidden screw post portfolio book that we made for a student. I literally caught it just as it was about to be wrapped up and dispatched and managed to take this single photograph of it - I regret to say I can't even credit who it was whom ordered it.

    Portfolio Material

The materials are Harlech purple book cloth for the outer cover and Lichen book cloth for the spine and inner cover. No personalisation was opted for (a pity as it would have helped credit this who it was, but I would suggest a fashion and textile student)

    Potential Portfolio Problems

All that said this beautiful portfolio comes with a 'health' or 'handle with care' warning. Book cloth is un-protected so using it as an outer cover is risky. All it takes is placing it down on somewhere slightly grubby, or it catching some spilt beverage, like coffee or tea, or even worse, some mayonnaise from a sandwich, and then that's it! It can not be cleaned off! (Okay, it could be partially lifted off, but the stain will remain.)

Book cloth looks and feels great as an outside cover, but it can wear quite quickly and it doesn't take much to ruin it or write it off. The answer is to use Buckram or Faux Leather on the outside, as it has an acrylic coating and can be easily cleaned with a damp cloth.

We have a page dedicated to Portfolios which cab be found HERE and our image gallery on our past work for Creatives can be found HERE
