Compiling a final year presentation portfolio for your degree is always stressfull. Your body of work must be outstanding, concise and well put together. Equally the portfolio that your work is presentated in should stand out as well (for all the right reasons!) This is after all, the packaging of your work and the packaging that ultimately conveys a statement, albeit sublimanely, about you.
Textile design students always have the ability of adding a twist to their presentation portfolios by including their own materials and designs into the portfolio. This month one of the students, designer Brenda Rennie, sent us one of her own creations to be included in the inside cover of her portfolio-box. Brenda created her intricate pattern and design using felt, which was sewn onto a cotton and wool backing material.
