    1. For customers who have opted in their order to supply PRINT READY ARTWORK & LAYOUT in their order options

If you've agreed to supply print ready artwork and a layout in your order, please ensure that all artwork sent, follows the guidelines below.

    1. For foiling and debossing all logos and type (artwork) must be 100% black on a white background and MUST be a vector based (.ai or .eps) file and correctly sized. For full colour digital UV printing please supply full colour CMYK artwork in a vector format and if colour critical, Pantone colour references.
    2. All type must be outlined
    3. A full artwork positioning and sizing layout to be supplied (we can provide page sizes or templates if required) Example as per below.
    4. Please bear in mind that as this is finished to go artwork, a proof will not be supplied.

    2. If you are supplying us artwork and logos that we are laying out for blind debossing or foil stamping, it will require a magnesium die to be made, therefore artwork must be supplied in the following formats please.

      1. Artwork (logo's and names) must be preferably a vector based image (.ai or .eps file). Alternatively we can use a high resolution (300-600 dpi) TIFF or JPEG image, but it must be no smaller in size than the image you want printed - see 'Artwork Requirements' video below for more help.
      2. For foiling or debossing, your artwork must be 100% black on a white with no colour or grey scale and preferably on a transparent background. For reference, whatever is in black will be engraved out and stand proud of the surface. This is what will be printed.
For full colour digital UV printing, please supply full colour CMYK artwork  in a vector format and if colour critical, Pantone colour references.
      3. Fonts/Typefaces must be outlined and not live (videos below might help as reference on how to do this).
      4. Please indicate what size you would like your logo to appear and where you would like it placed. This can be be done when ordering or via email.

FOR REFERENCE - THE BLACK AREAS OF YOUR ARTWORK WILL BE AREA THAT IS PRESSED INTO THE SURFACE.

It is important to point out...

    • For blind deboss depending upon the what is being stamped, it may require a brass die instead of a magnesium one. Unfortunately brass dies are more expensive and we will quote for this separately.
    • If we have to do any remedial work on the artwork you send us, there will be a charge based on £60.00 p/hour.

Artwork for UV Printing please supply as follows.

    1. If artwork (logos & titles) are to be placed in specific sizes and areas on your cover and spine, please ask for a template.
    2. If any elements in the file are not embedded, then they need to be in the same folder with the file
    3. Convert all text to outlines (see video below if help is needed), Images should and logo should be vector.
    4. If using a background colour, this needs to be on a separate layer so it can be easily turned off.
    5. If necessary, please supply Pantone colour references.
    6. Lastly, please save as an .ai (Adobe Illustrator) or if .eps be sure to export retaining the page size. PDF-X is the best option if using spot channels.
