The leather we used was 3mm veg tanned Italian bridle leather, that has been tumbled to give it that 'bubble' look. It also makes it slightly softer as well.
The type, or at least the finish, of the leather we use is still 'bubble' finish (no it wasn't blown on when it was wet), the hides were put into a big drum (like a tumble drier) and then tumbled.
Gaetano is a Tokyo and Milan based fashion photographer. He choose a classic black leather for his A3 portrait portfolio book and went with black Torridge buckram for his inner cover.
He was one of the first of our customers to start mixing it up with colours, which made for a great looking portfolio! First, Pat went with an orange pigment foil for his logo, he then choose quite a neutral grey for his inner and outer cover but went for a great contrasting orange book cloth on his binding and business card holder.
